Onward, my plaid steed…
Real men wear kilts and carry kitten in their kilt pouch thingies.
If you’re not reblogging a kitten in a sporran, there’s something wrong with you.

So much respectThe beautiful face of courage: Lance Cpl. William Kyle Carpenter USMC
Carpenter, 21, of Gilbert lost the eye, most of his teeth and use of his right arm from a grenade blast Nov. 21 near Marjah, Helmand Province, Afghanistan.
Friends and family say he threw himself in front of the grenade to protect his best friend in Afghanistan, Cpl. Nick EufrazioThis deserves more notes then anything on Tumblr. It’s sad to say stupid pictures of a flower some girl takes with a Nikon D40 that her parents bought her for christmas or a picture of A Day To Remember has more notes then this. The world is fucked up. So much respect for this man.

Which do you prefer, hooker platform shoes, or, “fuck me” pumps?
I like black “fuck me” pumps.
The year draws closer to an end, and I look forward to the holidays. But first, it’s another on-call week. It’s really not so bad, until the afternoon, when I have to turn on the pager part of my phone. The normal work day is just that, normal. But at night, the gremlins come out, and do all manner of nastiness to my databases.
It never fails too, it happens just as I get into the zone working on a really HOT scene in a story. This having an alter-ego can really wear a person out.
Anyway, there are some changes coming up for my writing persona, and I think they will be good changes. One of the biggest is, my photography studio came in. Lights, soft boxes, an umbrella reflector, barn door with filters, trigger and remotes, and a huge 9 foot by 12 foot backdrop stand, with black, white, and green backdrops. I’ve been experimenting with it, using the puppies and Sweetie. I hope to soon, be taking my own photographs for my book covers. This of course means a lot of study on Photoshop/The Gimp, and lots of trips to various places for backgrounds and scenery. I’m also going to be contacting certain individuals for their critiques on my pictures. These are professionals that have worked both in front of, and behind the camera.
Work is progressing well on the next two NeoDruids stories. “Imp Portent”, and “Changelings” will be somewhat of a departure from the first two stories. Most importantly, in these next two installments, nobody dies. The Druids face two different kinds of challenges, and discover more about themselves than they realize. The basic plots are already laid out for the two books after these, “Tempus Infractus”, and “Devolution”. I also have a rough plot for book 7 in the series, which will be a stand alone novel called, “Irrelevant”.
So, that’s pretty much it from the writing front. I hope this is a quiet week, but I doubt it. They developers are getting ready to role out their fall software release, so testing is hot and heavy right now. Still, without the users/developers, I wouldn’t have a day job, that helps support my alter-ego of paranormal/erotic romance author. So, thank goodness for small favors.
